A consultant laying out yarn samples and colour references on a rug

A rug as individual as the room it finishes.

Two ways in. Both begin with a conversation.

Customise an Existing Design –

START WITH A DESIGN FROM OUR COLLECTION AND CHANGE WHAT NEEDS CHANGING.

  • Colour matched to your palette.
  • Custom sized to suit your space.
  • Construction chosen for where it sits.

WHAT YOU CONTROL

  • Colour and palette. Matched to paint, fabric or artwork, from several hundred shades.
  • Size and shape. Rectangular, round, oval, runner, stair, or made to a floor plan.
  • Pile and finish. Cut, loop, shag, or hand carved linework.
  • Construction. Hand Tufted, Handknotted or Axminster.

Size, construction and material set the price. Your consultant prices against the finished specification.

Create a Bespoke Design

BRING A BRIEF. DESIGNER RUGS STUDIO DESIGNS TO IT.

A room, a plan, a palette, a reference, or an idea you have not drawn yet. We develop concepts against your brief, present artwork to scale, and make it once you approve.

WHAT HAPPENS

  • Brief and reference. Mood boards, floor plans, photographs, a colour scheme.
  • Concept development. The studio works up options against what you have given us.
  • Artwork to scale. Final colours and yarn samples, so you see the piece before it exists.
  • Approval, then production. Nothing is made until you sign it off.

Scale, construction and material set the price. We price it once the artwork is approved.

The Process —

We’re here to guide you, every step of the way.

Customising

You have probably already found the design. Bring the room instead. Photographs, a floor plan, the measurements you have. If the only thing you know is that the rug you saw is the wrong colour or the wrong size, that is enough to start.

Bespoke

Designer Rugs Studio develops concepts against what you have given us. You see options, you react to them, and we work from your reaction. You are not asked to describe what you want. You are asked to say which of these is closer.

Choose the design

Customising

The design stays what it is. You decide what changes around it: colour, size, shape, pile, construction. Your consultant will tell you which changes suit the design and which will alter how it reads, because some patterns hold at any scale and some do not.

Bespoke

Construction, yarn and dimension, decided alongside the design rather than after it. The way a piece is made changes what the design can do, so the two decisions are taken together.

Lead Times —

Every piece is made to order, so lead times vary by construction method. As a guide, hand tufted rugs are our quickest to produce, while hand knotted rugs require considerably more time — each knot is tied individually by hand, repeated thousands of times across a single piece. That level of devoted attention is what makes them extraordinary, and worth the wait. Bespoke carpet timelines are shaped by the scale and complexity of your project.
