Designer Rugs offers free standard delivery Australia-wide on in-stock and backorder rugs purchased online, exclusively for retail clients.
Standard delivery is a door-to-door drop-off service via a general transport or courier company.

Custom / Made To Order Rugs
Shipping costs vary based on your location, as well as the size and weight of your rug.
For urgent orders, airfreight shipping is available, subject to size restrictions and an additional surcharge. Contact our customer service team for details and availability.


 

When you select Standard Delivery, you acknowledge that you agree to the following terms of delivery:

 

  • The delivery will be to ground floor or front door [at street level access].
  • Standard Delivery Service does not include delivery upstairs, taken up elevators, placement of rug in your home or rubbish removal.
  • In some instances, drivers may need assistance – especially if a rug is over 25kg.
  • Deliveries are done using third party courier service providers such as TNT, ABC Couriers, GMK etc at our discretion depending on location of delivery.
  • Deliveries occur on business days between the hours of 9am- 5pm [we do not offer deliveries on weekends or public holidays].
  • If a client requests to be contacted prior to delivery - we will make a note of this on the consignment note. However, we will not guarantee that our instructions will be followed.
  • A signature is required on delivery unless you have given us an Authority to Leave [ATL] unattended.
  • All orders that are delivered to an address and if no one is in [and you have provided us with the Authority to Leave], your order will be left in a safe place away from the elements. If the area is not deemed to be safe, the driver can use their discretion not to leave the package.
  • We cannot guarantee that the driver making the delivery will specifically follow the location instructions. It is important to consider that if you give us the Authority to Leave [in your absence], we can no longer guarantee that you will receive your order, nor accept responsibility for other factors that can affect your package whilst it is sitting unattended [like rain, dirt, damage, theft etc]. In this situation, we can only guarantee delivery and quality up to the point that the track and trace tells us the goods were left for you. A valid street number, suburb, postcode & phone number & name must be provided. Orders cannot be processed without this information. Designer Rugs will not be held responsible for any delays incurred due to missing or incorrect delivery information.
  • A delivery is deemed completed in good condition once a signature has been placed on the courier drivers PDA or delivery docket. If the packaging is torn / damaged / wet etc, please do not sign the delivery docket and contact our Head Office on 02 9550 9933 immediately.
  • Our standard dispatch timeframe for an in stock item is within 3 business days from receipt of order. This may vary in certain instances, but we will make every effort to dispatch your rug within a reasonable period of time.
  • Our standard dispatch timeframe for out-of-stock and made to order items is approximately 16 - 32 weeks from receipt of order. This may vary in certain instances depending on the size and design of the order. 
  • Delivery Times are as follows: [QLD / VIC / NSW / SA is 5 – 10 business days | WA & NT is 7 – 12 business days]
  • Orders received on weekends or public holidays will be processed the next business day.
  • Our business hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5:30pm excluding public holidays.
  • To minimise delivery disruptions, it is best to give us an address that is occupied during delivery times.
  • If the delivery is attempted and the premises is unattended, the courier company will transfer it to a nearby depot and leave a card with a number to contact and re-arrange the delivery or collection directly with the depot.
  • If your order is held by the courier company and/or the depot for an extended period of time following an attempted delivery and is returned back to us undelivered and needs to be resent, there may be additional charges, storage fees and associated shipping costs. Designer Rugs will not be held responsible for damages from extended storage. 
  • We may require you to contribute reasonable Delivery Costs if your location is deemed regional, rural or where there is limited service from our courier network.
  • We do not ship to PO Boxes.
  • Any special instructions must be advised at the time of purchase, if additional instructions are notified after shipping has been processed, there may be additional charges.
