Designer Rugs’ Romance Was Born collection is fantastical, visionary and not for the faint at heart, unleashing wondrous imagery, kaleidoscopic colours and chimerical style drawn from their print archives. The four resulting rugs in the collection are as vibrant and imaginative as the rest of their work.
Romance Was Born’s 2016 collection Whispering Angel looked to the late, great Liberace as a design influence, and POWDER ROOM is based on this outlandish and extravagant collection. “It has a retro 1970s vibe, but also a baroque vibe, and looks quite traditional until you study it closely.”
