Designer Rugs is well known for our impact on the design community and its emerging talent through educational programs and awards such as Floored for TAFE students, Art On The Floor with International School of Colour and Design, and Rug Project with UNSW.
As a company that is passionate about design, recognising, nurturing and rewarding up-and-coming designers is important to us.
We also regularly hold the Evolve Awards, which encourages and rewards innovative rug design from Australia and New Zealand’s best interior designers and architects, including the
Evolve Emerge category for young designers.
Our impact also extends beyond the design community through charity efforts, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to various charities including Oz Havest, Fred Hollows, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Centre, The Royal Hospital for Women, Cure the Future, and the Stephen Sanig Research Institute. Designer Rugs has been supporting Australian charities through fundraising initiatives and the donation of rugs since they first opened their doors over 30 years ago.
