We currently accept payments by direct deposit and credit card – standard surcharges apply.
We have samples of our rugs available to loan in our showrooms. Our customers are welcome to take test these products in your home when making a considered purchase. We do not carry samples of every design in all our collections, please visit or contact us here to request a sample.
Our custom rugs will come with digital artwork for approval, and we recommend ordering a sample of a custom rug prior to production.
Designer Rugs offers standard shipping/delivery Australia-wide on all rugs purchased through the shopping cart and in store.
Australian shipping:
$180 for all standard stock sizes to Sydney Metro, Canberra Metro, Melbourne Metro, Adelaide Metro, Brisbane Metro, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
$220 for all standard stock sizes to regional NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, TAS & NT

A rug underlay isn’t included in your rug purchase; however, we recommend purchasing an underlay to prevent any movement and to protect your rug. Please contact our customer service team for more information on underlays and installation. Contact us here.
While we have a wide range of styles, colours and sizes available, sometimes a bespoke rug is the best way to attain the best fit for your space. Learn more about our custom capabilities here
Made to order process:
Once you have decided to customise your rug, we will require payment and our team will prepare a scaled digital render for you to review and approve. Artwork will take approximately 48hrs to produce. Once the artwork has been approved, we will be able to order your rug.
Please note the approximate lead times custom made rugs:
Handtufted rugs: 14-16 weeks
Handknotted rugs: 26-32 weeks
Our rugs are handmade and therefore unable to have an unconditional warranty. Designer Rugs will replace or repair a rug that has a structural defect within 12 months of purchasing, provided the rug was used for normal domestic use and maintained in accordance with our care instructions. The Designer rugs reserves the right to fix any defect before a replacement is deemed appropriate.
A replacement of the same rug will be given if that product is still available, otherwise a new product to the same value will be offered or online credit voucher. Any improper or negligent use will void this warranty. This warranty does not apply to any rugs that have been damaged by incorrect cleaning, chemical damage, water damage or flooding, fading due to sunlight, inappropriate use of the rug, cutting down or re-sizing, or general wear and tear over a number of years.
A product is not considered defective if there is a manufacturing variation as listed above. If you wish to make a claim under this warranty, you must provide photographic evidence to support the claim.
We ask that you email with the invoice number and date of purchase, or receipt and details of where the rug was purchased, a photo of the rug with a close-up image of the defect.
